🧘‍♀️💊Take a Chill Pill: The No Pill Technique to Ease Your Anxieties 😤💗

Hello Sensi-Seeker

Easing Anxieties

The Challenge

😱 Anxiety often revs up during difficult or unpredictable times. When the future feels dire or unstable, it can take a toll on our center, creating anxiety and activating our fight/flight mode.

✈️ Before we get into the calming technique I recommend, here are some key points you need to know about fight/flight mode:

- It is a survival response that is activated when there are perceived threats, activating the body’s emergency defense system.

- It triggers hormonal and physiological changes like increased heart rate, rapid breathing, and heightened alertness (aka anxious feelings)

- It originally evolved for physical survival (think running away from a tiger), but psychological stressors in modern life can now trigger this response

The Calming Technique You Need

Here is a thought process technique to calm your fight/flight (and minimize your anxiety) so you can think clearly, solve the problem (if needed) and ultimately be more at peace.

  • Stop and take as many deep breaths as needed to get a handle on the physical response. If you know tapping (EFT), this is highly recommended. **If you don't already have the Guide for signing up to the newsletter, reply to this e-mail & I will send you a FREE copy!**
  • Be present in the moment (not thinking about the past or future) and ask, "What is the next BEST action?" AKA the action that feels the most intuitively connected AND the most logical. Write it down!
  • Take that action with the mantra in mind, "I AM doing the best I can". Because you are! With the information you have, you are taking your BEST step forward. Surrender in that mindset and it will allow any lingering worries (or most of them) to subside and give you that calming force you need.
